The Black Crowes have shared some behind-the-scenes footage of the making of the video for “Profane Prophecy,” one of two new tracks they released from their upcoming album, A Pound of Feathers.

The video was directed by artist and musician Dagger Polyester and was inspired by Russ Meyer films. The costumes, sets and more were created by a group of 15 students from a Los Angeles art collective. In the behind-the-scenes clip, Crowes frontman Chris Robinson talks about how he liked the “DIY” aspect of the video.

“It’s a great collaboration,” says Chris. “You know, to have an initial idea, throw it Dagger’s way, Dagger could, you know, throw in another layer and then to bring everyone together to kinda create this little world that’s been going on for the last 48 hours.”

A Pound of Feathers, dropping March 13, is The Black Crowes’ 10th studio album and their first since 2024’s Happiness Bastards. In addition to “Profane Prophecy,” they previewed the album by releasing the track “Pharmacy Chronicles.”

A Pound of Feathers is available for preorder now.

Phil Collins is hopeful that he may be able to start making music again.

The Genesis frontman revealed the news in his new BBC interview with Zoe Ball for the five-part Eras: Phil Collins podcast, which is out now.

“I couldn’t have wished for a more varied and eventful playing career,” the 74-year-old says. “The things that were ahead for me would be, apart from just being back to being totally mobile and healthy, is to maybe go in there and have a fiddle about and see if there’s more music.”

“Because, you know, you tend to sort of feel that’s it, done that,” he adds. “But you’ve got to start doing it to see if you can do it. Otherwise you don’t do it. So that is something on my horizon.”

As for whether he already has music in the works, Collins notes, “I’ve got some things that are half-formed or were never finished, and a couple of things that were finished which I like. So, you know, maybe life in the old dog yet. We’ll see.”

Collins’ interview will be broadcast on TV on BBC Two and iPlayer as a special, Phil Collins Eras: In Conversation, debuting Saturday.

In the interview, Collins also talks about his health struggles. He reveals they are “an ongoing thing” and notes, “I had everything that could go wrong with me, did go wrong with me.” As previously reported, he told Ball he has a 24-hour live-in nurse and that after five knee surgeries he can walk, but only with assistance.

The symphonic show, which the band debuted in 2019, will feature a set list filled with songs from throughout Haynes’ career, including his work with Gov’t Mule and Allman Brothers Band, and his solo work.

The second show, on May 1, will be headlined by Gov’t Mule, described on Instagram as “a full-force Mule show in an intimate theater setting— raw, electric, and built for the faithful.” It will mark the last show of the band’s spring headlining tour.

Joe Walsh missed his first Eagles show in over 50 years on Saturday.

According to Rolling Stone, Walsh was forced to sit out of the band’s show at the Sphere in Las Vegas after coming down with the flu.

“We could either cancel the whole thing, or we could man up and do the show,” Don Henley told the crowd. “So we came down here this afternoon and had an emergency rehearsal for two hours. And fortunately, in this band, we have a deep bench.”

While Walsh did perform during the Eagles’ show Friday, Henley told the audience Walsh had been sick. “But he heroically made it through [the] last of the show,” Henley said. “Joe’s going to be okay. He just needs some time. Give him some love.”

According to Rolling Stone, the concert was the first Eagles show Walsh has missed since joining the band in 1975.

But just because he wasn’t there doesn’t mean Walsh’s songs were left out of the set list, although they did cut his James Gang tune “Funk #49.” Vince Gill, who joined the Eagles in 2017 following the death of Glenn Frey, sang lead on Walsh’s tunes “In the City,” “Life’s Been Good” and “Rocky Mountain Way.”

Eagles return to the Sphere on Saturday. They have shows booked through March 28. A complete list of dates can be found at eagles.com.

Lynyrd Skynyrd’s ‘Free Bird’ featured in Budweiser Super Bowl LX commercial

Lynyrd Skynyrd’s classic tune “Free Bird” is featured in Budweiser’s latest Super Bowl ad.

The company revealed the new ad, featuring a Clydesdale and a bald eagle, on Good Morning America on Monday.

The 60-second spot opens with a classic baby Clydesdale horse, which has been showcased in several Budweiser ads, running through an open farm before approaching a nest where a baby bird appears to have hatched recently.

As “Free Bird” plays in the background, the ad shows the horse and bird developing an endearing relationship as the horse protects the bird from rainfall, and the bird uses the horse’s back as a launching pad for a failed flight attempt.

As time passes, the horse grows in size as it hurdles through the air, and the bird is revealed to be a large, sprawling bald eagle with its wings spread open behind the horse as the bird takes flight.

“You crying?” asks a farmer watching the scene unfold to another farmer.

“Sun’s in my eyes,” he responds.

“As we celebrate Budweiser’s 150th anniversary and America’s 250th birthday, we knew we had to rise to the occasion in a way only Budweiser can. ‘American Icons’ brings our heritage to life through powerful storytelling with the Budweiser Clydesdales and an American Bald Eagle,” Todd Allen, the senior vice president of marketing for Budweiser at Anheuser-Busch, said in a statement included in a release.

“This year’s spot will leave fans awestruck and proud to enjoy a Budweiser as they celebrate our shared milestone moments,” the statement continued.

Super Bowl LX will kick off on Feb. 8 at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.

New Foo? Dave Grohl says next album is finished

New Foo? Dave Grohl says next album is finished

A new Foo Fighters album is officially on the way.

Dave Grohl revealed the news during the band’s show in Tasmania on Saturday.

“We might have a whole new record of f****** songs that we just finished the other day,” Grohl told the cheering crowd.

The most recent Foo Fighters album is 2023’s But Here We Are. Since then, they’ve released two new songs, “Asking for a Friend” and “Today’s Song.”

The upcoming Foos album will be their first since new drummer Ilan Rubin, formerly of Nine Inch Nails, joined the band in 2025. Rubin replaced Josh Freese, who was released from the Foos in 2025 after joining in 2023 in place of the late Taylor Hawkins.

Also during Saturday’s show, Grohl reunited with Brant Webb, a miner who got stuck in the 2006 mine collapse in the Tasmanian town of Beaconsfield. While trapped, Webb and his fellow survivor requested an iPod loaded with Foo Fighters music to listen to while waiting to be rescued. Webb’s story made its way to Grohl and was immortalized in the 2007 Foo Fighters song “Ballad of the Beaconsfield Miners.”

Foo Fighters’ next scheduled tour date is at the Welcome to Rockville festival in May. They’ll launch a full U.S. stadium tour in August.

On This Day, Jan. 26, 2018: Fleetwood Mac is honored as the MusiCares Person of the Year

On This Day, Jan. 26, 2018: Fleetwood Mac is honored as the MusiCares Person of the Year

On This Day, Jan. 26, 2018…

Fleetwood Mac was honored as the Recording Academy’s MusiCares Person of the Year, becoming the first band to ever receive the honor.

The pre-Grammy event was held at Radio Music Hall in New York City and featured performances by Harry Styles, Lorde, Brandi Carlile, Haim, Miley Cyrus, Imagine Dragons and others.

Fleetwood Mac also performed at the gala, treating the audience to “The Chain” featuring Styles, “Little Lies,” “Tusk,” “Gold Dust Woman” and “Go Your Own Way.”

The band’s performance turned out to be Lindsey Buckingham’s last with the group. After a disagreement with Stevie Nicks at the event, she was fired from the band and replaced during their tour later that year by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers guitarist Mike Campbell and Crowded House’s Neil Finn.
