Rush expands Fifty Something tour to 17 new cities

The tour will now stop in such cities as Philadelphia, Boston, Montreal, Washington, DC, Atlanta, Seattle, Vancouver and more.</span></p><p class=”p1″><a href=”https://signup.ticketmaster.com/rush” target=”_blank” rel=”noopener noreferrer”><span class=”s1″>Registration is open</span></a><span class=”s1″> until Thursday at 11:59 p.m. ET for a Rush artist presale for the new dates, which begins Oct. 27 at 12 p.m. local time. Green Day’s ’American Idiot’ named best-selling UK rock album of 21st century

(Reprise Records)</figcaption></figure><p>Despite its USA-centric title, <strong>Green Day</strong>’s <em>American Idiot</em> still did big numbers across the pond.</p><p>The punk outfit’s 2004 opus has been named the best-selling rock album of the 21st century in the U.K., according to the <a href=”https://www.officialcharts.com/chart-news/official-biggest-rock-and-metal-albums-of-the-21st-century/” target=”_blank” rel=”noopener noreferrer”>Official Charts Company</a>.</p><p>”We made<em> American Idiot</em> as a protest album – against fear, against lies, against apathy. But also a character driven concept album,” Green Day says. “It was risky, it was loud, it was personal – and it changed everything for us. Sharon Osbourne mourns death of beloved dog, Elvis
The Osbourne family has lost another member.
One of the family’s dogs, Elvis, has died, Sharon Osbourne shared in an Instagram post Sunday.
“I can’t believe I am posting this but my darling Elvis passed away this week,” Sharon wrote. “He gave me 14 precious year. He was by my side until the end.”
“Rest in peace my darling boy!” she added.
The post includes photos of Sharon with Elvis, as well shots of Elvis and the late Ozzy Osbourne together.
Ozzy died on July 22 at age 76. He’d just performed his final concert two weeks earlier at the Back to the Beginning show on July 5.

Guitar signed by U2’s Bono & The Edge part of Woody Guthrie Center silent auction
A guitar signed by U2’s Bono and The Edge will be part of an upcoming virtual silent auction being put on by the Woody Guthrie Center.
The members of U2 are this year’s Woodie Guthrie Prize recipients. According to a post on Instagram, the “marquee item” in the auction will be a Gibson 70s Explorer Natural guitar signed by the two band members.
The auction is set to go live on Tuesday at 12 p.m. CT. It will also feature signed memorabilia from previous events and experiences put on by the Woody Guthrie Center and the Bob Dylan Center, which are both in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
The Woody Guthrie Prize, named after the late folk icon, recognizes “a recipient who embodies the spirit of Woody Guthrie’s social consciousness and musical legacy.” Bono and The Edge will be on hand to accept this year’s prize at a ceremony Tuesday at Tulsa’s Cain’s Ballroom. U2 previously played the venue in 1981 on their The Boy Tour.
Previous Woody Guthrie Prize winners include Bruce Springsteen, John Mellencamp, Joan Baez and Rage Against the Machine‘s Tom Morello.

David Lee Roth teasing more shows
Looks like David Lee Roth is planning to spend some more time on the road.
Back in May, the former Van Halen frontman returned to the stage for the first time in five years, headlining the M3 Rock Festival at the Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Maryland. He subsequently announced tour dates that kicked off in July and wrapped in September. Well, Roth is now letting fans know that his touring days aren’t over.
The 71-year-old rocker revealed the news on Instagram, posting what appears to be a Van Halen-era photo of himself with the caption, “Winter Tour Dates..Coming Soon.”
Roth’s summer shows featured a set filled with Van Halen classics like “Panama,” “Running With the Devil,” “Dance the Night Away,” “Hot For Teacher” and “Jump.”
Prior to the May show, Roth hadn’t performed publicly since March 2020. He was supposed to play a Las Vegas residency in December 2021/January 2022, which was billed as his final shows, but they were canceled and he retired from performing.

Bon Jovi releases ‘We Made it Look Easy’ featuring Robbie Williams
Bon Jovi has released another track from their upcoming collaborations album, Forever (Legendary Edition).
The latest is “We Made It Look Easy” featuring U.K. pop star Robbie Williams, who Jon Bon Jovi calls “one of the greatest entertainers period.”
“I’ve loved his music for years and I’m honored to have him join me and the band on ‘We Made It Look Easy,’” Jon adds. “He’s lived this lyric. I knew he’d deliver.”
“We Made It Look Easy” is now available via digital outlets.
Forever (Legendary Edition), dropping Oct. 24, has the New Jersey rockers teaming with a whole host of artists to reimagine songs from their 2024 album, Forever. It also includes one new song, the previously released leadoff single “Red, White and Jersey.”
Other artists on the album include Bruce Springsteen, Def Leppard’s Joe Elliott, Jelly Roll, Ryan Tedder, Avril Lavigne, Jason Isbell, James Bay and Lainey Wilson.

Kate Hudson covers The Band’s holiday classic ‘Christmas Must Be Tonight’
In addition to being an Oscar-nominated actress, Kate Hudson is a singer who released her debut album, Glorious, in 2024. Now she’s dropped a holiday single that finds her covering a Christmas rock classic.
Hudson recorded The Band‘s song “Christmas Must Be Tonight,” which originally appeared on their 1977 album, Islands. It was their last album to feature the group’s original lineup. It was written by The Band’s guitarist, Robbie Robertson, and was partly inspired by the birth of his son. He later recorded a solo version for the soundtrack of the 1988 Bill Murray movie Scrooged.
“When you speak of The Band, you are speaking directly to the heart, soul and backbone of rock’s roots,” Hudson says in a statement, calling the group’s music “organic,” “breathtaking” and “real.” She adds, “It was an honor to re-record it.”

David Gilmour marks ‘The Luck and Strange Concerts’ release with ‘Comfortably Numb’ performance
Pink Floyd’s David Gilmour has released The Luck and Strange Concerts, a live album featuring performances from his 2024 tour. To mark the occasion, he’s released a live performance of the Pink Floyd classic “Comfortably Numb.”
The performance was featured in Gilmour’s concert film, Live at the Circus Maximus, which hit theaters in September.
The Luck and Strange Concerts album features 23 tracks recorded during the tour. In addition to “Comfortably Numb,” it includes performances of Pink Floyd tunes like “Wish You Were Here,” “Sorrow,” “High Hopes” and “Breathe (In the Air),” as well as songs from his 2024 solo album, Luck and Strange.
It’s available as a four-LP or two-CD set, and there’s also a deluxe edition that includes a 120-page book featuring photos taken by Gilmour’s wife, Polly Samson. Samson has also released an expanded book, David Gilmour — Luck and Strange — Studio/Live, separately.
There is also a “carpe diem” edition of the album, available digitally, that includes four exclusive tracks. The concert film Live at the Circus Maximus is now available on DVD and Blu-ray with various expanded editions.

Neil Young celebrating 50th anniversary of ‘Tonight’s the Night’ with limited-edition reissue
Neil Young is set to reissue his 1975 album Tonight’s the Night in celebration of its 50th anniversary.
The reissue will feature six bonus tracks, as well as a previously unreleased original version of “Lookout Joe,” which replaces the version on the 1975 release.
Other previously unreleased tracks include “Walk On,” which, like the original “Lookout Joe,” was recorded during Young’s 1973 recording sessions at S.I.R. in Los Angeles, and an alternative take on the album’s title track.
Other bonus tracks include “Wonderin’,” which has previously only been available to stream on the Neil Young Archives website, as well as “Everybody’s Alone,” “Raised on Robbery” featuring Joni Mitchell and “Speakin’ Out Jam,” which appeared on Neil Young Archives Vol II.
The limited-edition Tonight’s the Night 50th Anniversary Edition is set to drop on Nov. 28 with reimagined cover art. It will be released on vinyl, CD and digitally, and will be available at Young’s Greedy Hand Store and independent retailers.
The reissue isn’t the only release from Young this year. He and his band the Chrome Hearts released the new album Talkin’ To the Trees in June. And his Official Release Series Volume 6, featuring 1992’s Harvest Moon, 1993’s Unplugged, 1994’s Sleep With Angels and 1995’s double album Mirror Ball, which he recorded with Seattle rockers Pearl Jam, is dropping Oct. 24.
