After headlining the Bowery Ballroom in New York City on Tuesday and Wednesday, the two-time Rock & Roll Hall of Famer has just announced what’s being billed as his third and final show at the venue, happening Friday.
Just like the first two shows, tickets were available only at the Bowery Ballroom box office, with tickets limited to one per person, and they quickly sold out.
According to setlist.fm, Wednesday’s show differed slightly from Tuesday’s, with McCartney switching out some songs to include The Beatles tracks “Can’t Buy Me Love,” “Love Me Do,” “Drive My Car,” “Getting Better,” the Wings tune “Let ‘Em In,” and McCartney solo tracks “Flaming Pie” and “Every Night.”
Chris Cornell‘s widow, Vicky Cornell, has shared a statement reacting to Soundgarden‘s Rock & Roll Hall of Fame nomination.
In a statement posted to her late husband’s Facebook, Vicky thanks the Rock Hall for “recognizing Soundgarden’s incredible legacy,” adding, “While Chris never believed in accolades defined an artist’s work he would nonetheless be very honored.”
“Moreover, he knew how much this means to his fans,” Vicky continues. “This nomination is a testament to the impact he and the band had—and continue to have on generations of fans and his indelible mark on music. His voice was his vision and his words were his peace….”
The Soundgarden Facebook page also shared a post reading, “Soundgarden is honored to be nominated for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Class of 2025.”
Chris Cornell died in 2017. Soundgarden was first nominated for the Rock Hall for the 2020 class, then for a second time in 2023.
Peter Gabriel was born in Surrey, England. The musician, singer, songwriter, record producer and activist gained fame as the original lead singer of the rock band Genesis and appeared on the band’s first six albums.
He left the group in 1975 and went on to have a hugely successful solo career, releasing his self-titled debut that year, which featured the future classic “Solsbury Hill.”
His fifth studio album, 1986’s So, became his bestselling album, moving over 5 million copies in the U.S. It featured the number one song “Sledgehammer,” as well as songs like “Big Time,” “In Your Eyes,” and “Don’t Give Up” with Kate Bush.
Gabriel is the winner of eight Grammy Awards, as well as 13 MTV Video Music Awards, nine of which went to the video for “Sledgehammer.” He’s also a two-time member of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, being inducted in 2010 as a member of Genesis and in 2014 as a solo artist.
Gabriel released his first new album in 20 years, i/o, in 2023, which earned two Grammys for engineering at February’s 67th annual Grammy Awards.
The Black Crowes and Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page are celebrating the 25th anniversary of their live collaboration.
The artists will rerelease Jimmy Page & The Black Crowes: Live at the Greek on March 14, featuring a new mix of the album, along with 16 previously unreleased tracks, including “Jams,” a song Page and The Crowes’ Rich Robinson wrote during a soundcheck, as well as behind-the-scenes photos, videos and more.
The 36-track album features performances of both Black Crowes and Led Zeppelin tunes, recorded in October 1999 at Los Angeles’ Greek Theatre, and August 1999 at New York’s Jones Beach theater.
Page shares that he’s “really looking forward” to the rerelease, noting, “The new mixes capture the collaboration of those historic encounters and provide the full explosive passion and exciting energy of those alchemical moments.”
“The new Live at the Greek box set brings the whole experience of our work with Jimmy into a vibrant, electric, mystical and powerful perspective,” Crowes frontman Chris Robinson adds, with Rich noting, “Going through the shows and putting together the new box set has been such an incredible dive back to that time in our history. It was a once-in-a-lifetime thrill to play these amazing iconic songs with the man who composed them.”
As a preview, two songs from the set have been released, The Crowes tune “No Speak No Slave” and the never-before-released performance of “Bring It On Home,” from Led Zeppelin’s 1969 album Led Zeppelin II.
Jimmy Page & The Black Crowes: Live at the Greek will be released in a variety of formats, including a 6-LP box set, and a 3-CD version. All are available for preorder now.
Santana‘s hit album Supernatural is among the recordings that are being inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame this year. The album is one of the eight albums and five singles that will be honored at the Grammy Hall of Fame Gala on May 16 in Beverly Hills.
To be considered for the Grammy Hall of Fame, a recording must be at least 25 years old and “exhibit qualitative or historical significance.”
Other recordings being honored this year include Cat Steven’s 1970 album Tea for the Tillerman, featuring “Wild World” and “Father and Son,” Jay-Z’s 1996 album Reasonable Doubt, Gloria Estefanand the Miami Sound Machine‘s hit “Conga” and Eddie Floyd‘s soul classic “Knock on Wood.”
In a statement, Recording Academy CEO Harvey Mason Jr. says, “Music has the unique power to shape culture and mark moments in time. Each inducted recording reflects that spirit, and we’re excited to celebrate these impactful works, ensuring their legacies continue to inspire generations to come.”
Released in June 1999, Supernatural was Santana’s 18th studio album, and featured collaborations with artists like Lauryn Hill,Eric Clapton, Dave Matthews Band and, most famously, Rob Thomas.
The album reached number one in 11 countries and topped the Billboard 200 for 12 nonconsecutive weeks, reviving Santana’s career. It featured his first-ever U.S. #1 song, “Smooth,” featuring Thomas, which spent 12 weeks at number one. “Maria Maria,” featuring The Product G&B, went to #1 as well, spending 10 weeks on top.
After debuting in theaters in January, Eric Clapton’s classic Unplugged performance can now be streamed at home.
Eric Clapton Unplugged … Over 30 Years Later is now streaming on Paramount+, with this version containing commentary from an interview Clapton gave ahead of his original Unplugged performance.
Clapton is also set to release a digital-only Dolby Atmos mix of Unplugged. Plus he’ll drop Unplugged: EnhancedEdition on May 9. The three-LP or two-CD set is an extended, remixed and remastered edition of the album, with tracks that were not included during the original MTV airing.
Clapton recorded his episode of MTV Unplugged on Jan. 16, 1992, in front of a small audience at Bray Film Studios in Windsor, England. The taping featured performances of such songs as “Tears in Heaven,” about the death of his 4-year-old son, Conor, and an acoustic version of “Layla.”
A live album of the special was released in August 1992 and went to #1 on the Billboard 200 chart. It also won three Grammy Awards, including record and song of the year for “Tears in Heaven,” and sold 26 million copies worldwide to become the bestselling live album of all time.
This year marks the 40th anniversary of INXS’ Listen Like Thieves, and the milestone is being celebrated with a new deluxe edition of the album.
Listen Like Thieves (40th Anniversary Deluxe Edition) will feature a brand-new remix of the album by Giles Martin and Paul Hicks, along with unreleased outtakes and demos and a newly unearthed BBC recording, Live From The Royal Albert Hall, London, 1986. There will also be a new interview with the band.
“Giles and Paul captured the original raw energy we felt when we first recorded the album and created a sonic depth to give the record an entirely new dimension that we couldn’t be prouder of,” INXS’ Andrew Farriss shares.
“It’s been such an honor to work on this pivotal album from INXS’s career,” Martin adds. “It’s a collection of recordings masterly produced by Chris Thomas, which helped the band define their own style and reach a massive global audience. It’s an iconic rock album of its age.”
In addition to the three-CD/LP deluxe edition, there will be a two-CD extended edition, which includes the new mix and the CD of B-sides, remixes and live recordings, as well as a single LP edition with just the remix.
Listen Like Thieves, released Oct. 14, 1985, was INXS’ fifth studio album and was considered to be the band’s international breakthrough. It featured the Aussie rockers’ first top-five single, “What You Need,” with the album reaching #11 in the U.S.
Lenny Kravitz and The Black Crowes are set to perform at the 2025 Oceans Calling festival, taking place Sept. 26-28 in Ocean City, Maryland.
Green Day, Noah Kahan and Fall Out Boy will headline the festival, with the lineup also including DEVO, 4 Non Blondes, Train, Spin Doctors, Live, Collective Soul, Weezer and Blind Melon.

Pearl Jam guitarist Stone Gossard has released a new song called “The Message” in collaboration with singer-songwriter Ani DiFranco.
The track appears on a compilation called House of LSGRV put out by Gossard’s label, Loosegroove Records.
“Luckily for me, not every day at work is the same as the next,” DiFranco says. “One day, [Gossard], myself and some other ner do wells made this song happen. I hope somebody somewhere digs it.”
Bad Company is one of the artists nominated for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame this year, and frontman Paul Rodgers is thankful for those he believes made it happen.
“If I were a gambling man, I would wager that Bad Company fans and friends had something to do with this nomination for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame,” Rodgers tells ABC Audio in a statement. “I’ve been told there has been a movement afoot for some time, and we salute them for their persistence and dedication.”
He adds, “I do hope that the induction happens while Mick Ralphs can experience it too. It would be an honor to join the great company already inducted,” adding a thank-you on behalf of bandmates Ralphs, Simon Kirke and the late Boz Burrell.
Bad Company has been eligible for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame since 1999. They released their self-titled debut album in 1974. It hit #1 thanks to such classic songs as “Can’t Get Enough of Your Love,” the title track, “Movin’ On” and “Rock Steady.” It went on to be certified five-times Platinum by the RIAA.
This year’s Rock & Roll Hall of Fame class will be announced in April. The 2025 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction is set to take place in Los Angeles this fall, although an exact date has yet to be announced.
