Sebastian Bach gave music fans a taste of what his upcoming shows with Twisted Sister may sound like.

The former Skid Row frontman was headlining a solo show in Nashville Monday, and was joined for a song by Twisted Sister guitarist Eddie Ojeda. Fan-shot footage posted to social media shows the pair teaming up for a performance of the Twisted Sister classic “I Wanna Rock.”

Twisted Sister original members Dee Snider, Jay Jay French and Ojeda were supposed to launch a reunion tour in April, but the tour was canceled after frontman Snider pulled out due to health issues. Then in March, Ojeda and French announced that Bach would be taking over lead singer duties for “a handful of select dates this fall.”

Snider later revealed on social media that he approved of Bach stepping in for him, noting, “He’s a true fan & will honor what I did with every show!”

Twisted Sister/Bach shows begin Sept. 4 in Palmer, Arkansas. Bach’s next solo show is Friday in West Wendover, Nevada. A complete list of Bach dates can be found at SebastianBach.com.

Foo Fighters’ episode of the Ireland music performance series Other Voices is now streaming online via the RTÉ Player.

The set includes a rendition of an unreleased song called “Of All People,” which will appear on the upcoming new Foos album, Your Favorite Toy, as well as the record’s title track.

A standalone video capturing the “Of All People” performance will premiere on YouTube Wednesday at 9 a.m. ET.

The Other Voices concert also features an opening performance of the song “A320,” which the Foos recorded for the 1998 Godzilla movie. As Dave Grohl tells the crowd, Foo Fighters hadn’t played “A320” live in about 25 years.

Your Favorite Toy is due out April 24. Foo Fighters will play a one-off show in Bridgeport, Connecticut, on April 28, followed by headlining sets at the Welcome to Rockville and BottleRock Napa festivals in May. They’ll launch a full North American stadium tour in August.

See who won the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame fan vote ahead of induction announcement

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Class of 2026 inductees will be announced during the April 13 episode of American Idol, and fans will no doubt want to see if the nominees they supported in the online fan vote have managed to get in.

After more than 9 million votes were cast, the act that ended up on top of the leaderboard is R&B group New Edition, who scored just over 1 million of those votes. In 2023, New Edition inducted The Spinners into the Hall and performed in their honor.

Coming in at #2 is Phil Collins, who is already in the Hall as a member of Genesis. The drummer, singer, songwriter, producer and actor, who has sold over 100 million records as a solo artist, received close to 901,000 votes.

Pink came in at #3 with over 850,000 votes, while Shakira was #4 with 738,000 votes. The late Luther Vandross was just behind Shakira at #5, with just under 733,000 votes.

Australian rockers INXS were #6, followed by British group Sade at #7. The top seven vote-getters were highlighted on the leaderboard because all actual voting members were each allowed to vote for seven acts.

However, it’s worth noting that the act that comes in at #1 on the fan vote isn’t guaranteed induction. That’s because all the fan votes together are tallied as one single ballot, joining the 1,200 ballots submitted by the actual voting members of the Hall of Fame.

As for the rest of this year’s nominees, here’s how they stacked up:
8. Wu-Tang Clan
9. Billy Idol
10. Mariah Carey
11. Lauryn Hill
12. Iron Maiden
13. Melissa Etheridge
14. The Black Crowes
15. Oasis
16. Joy Division + New Order
17. Jeff Buckley

On This Day, April 7, 1990: Bonnie Raitt hits #1 with ‘Nick of Time’

On This Day, April 7, 1990: Bonnie Raitt hits #1 with ‘Nick of Time’

On This Day, April 7, 1990 …

Bonnie Raitt landed her first-ever #1 on the Billboard 200 Albums chart with her 10th studio album, Nick of Time.

The album’s success was aided by a popular video for the track “Thing Called Love,” a cover of a John Hiatt tune. The video featured actor Dennis Quaid as a bar patron who flirts with the bar’s singer, played by Raitt.

The album was Raitt’s first release after getting sober and enduring years of professional struggles, including getting dropped from her label, Warner Bros. Records.

The record, her first with new label Capitol Records, turned out to be a breakthrough for the artist. Not only did it sell five million copies, but it earned Raitt three Grammys including album of the year.

In 2022, Nick of Time was chosen by the Library of Congress for preservation in the National Recording Registry.

Rush’s Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson discuss plans to pay tribute to Neil Peart during Fifty Something tour

Rush’s Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson plan to pay tribute to their late drummer, Neil Peart, during their upcoming Fifty Something tour, and in an interview with the Brazilian TV show Fantástico, they share some insight into how they plan to do that.

“Well, we’ve been talking about certain songs that we feel really, really give us the vision of Neil,” Lee says, noting, “twice a night we will pick a song to play sort of for him and we’ll present a visual tribute behind us, to Neil, whether it be to his lyrics or just to his playing or whatever.”

He adds they’ll “take a moment, you know, play these songs with him in mind, so the whole audience and us can remember him.”

Lifeson calls the tribute “a celebration of who he was as a person and a drummer, not so sad anymore.”

Drummer Anika Nilles will be sitting in at the drum kit in place of Peart, who died in 2020, and Lee and Lifeson say they considered whether or not to call themselves Rush on this tour without Peart.

“Of course there was a lot of discussion,” says Lee. “(At) one point we were coming up with all these ways of not calling it Rush. And then it seemed ridiculous because when you’re learning 40 Rush songs, what the hell are you supposed to call this thing you’re doing?” He jokes, “Yeah, let’s say we’ll go out, we’ll play 40 Rush songs, we’ll call it Iron Butterfly.”

He adds using the name Rush “was just the natural thing to do.”

Rush is set to kick off their Fifty Something tour on June 7 in Los Angeles with North American dates running through Dec. 17. The tour will also hit Europe and South America.
