As Foo Fighters wrapped their tour of Asia Friday in Japan, drummer Ilan Rubin marked the end of his first live run with his new band.
“First @foofighters tour was absolutely fantastic!” Rubin writes in an Instagram post reflecting on the experience. “Every audience was incredible and such a pleasure to perform for.”
The post also includes video of Rubin performing a drum solo from the tour’s closing show in Japan.
Rubin, who’d played in Nine Inch Nails for over 10 years, joined the Foos in place of drummer Josh Freese, who was let go from the band in May after joining in 2023 following the death of Taylor Hawkins. In a fitting twist, Freese has gone on to rejoin NIN, who he’d previously played with from 2005 to 2008.
Foo Fighters will return to the live stage in November for a pair of shows in Mexico.

Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere hits theaters in less than two weeks, and now the final trailer for the film has been released.
The trailer opens with Springsteen, played by Jeremy Allen White, recording the track “Born in the U.S.A.,” cut with clips of Springsteen performing onstage. While listening to the song, Springsteen stops the track, saying, “No, put ‘Born in the U.S.A.’ on the shelf. I want this record to feel different.”
“Born in the U.S.A.” was originally part of the demos for Springsteen’s 1982 solo acoustic album, Nebraska, but didn’t make the album. It instead became the title track of Springsteen’s 1984 album, which went to #1.
After scrapping “Born in the U.S.A.,” the trailer focuses on Springsteen’s decision to record Nebraska despite pushback from his label and shows the support he received from his manager, Jon Landau, played by Jeremy Strong. It also features clips of White with actress Odessa Young, who plays Springsteen’s love interest in the film.
It ends with White performing Springsteen’s classic tune “Born to Run” onstage in front of thousands of fans.
Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere opens in theaters and IMAX on Oct. 23. Tickets are on sale now.

Joan Jett & the Blackhearts are returning to Las Vegas.
After a successful run of dates at the House of Blues Las Vegas back in June, the Rock & Roll Hall of Famers will return to the venue, inside the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, in 2026 with five new dates: Feb. 13, 14, 18, 20 and 21.
A Citi presale begins Tuesday at 10 a.m. PT, followed by a fan presale starting Wednesday at 10 a.m. PT. Tickets go on sale to the general public Friday at 10 a.m. PT.

In other Joan Jett news … the rocker is paying tribute a former member of the Blackhearts, drummer Thommy Price, who passed away at the age of 68. His death was announced by his wife on Facebook.
“We lost a member of the Blackheart family- the one of a kind Thommy Price,” Jett wrote on Instagram alongside video of him performing. “Thommy was a legendary drummer who was a Blackheart for 4 decades. He was a drummer’s drummer and admired by so many. Our hearts are heavy. Sending love to his beautiful family. We love you Thommy.”

Kelly Hansen played his final show with Foreigner Saturday in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
Fan-shot footage posted to YouTube shows a tearful Hansen thanking the band’s crew, his manager, his friends and, of course, the fans.
“If I could even string together the number of times that I’ve had experiences with fans — or, I don’t like to call you guys fans, I like to call you guys people who love music, appreciate music, you know,” he said. “My whole life since I was 17, it’s been great people who come to shows, thank you for that.”
“Thank you all for all of your support,” he added. “I’ve been in this business I think about 48, 49 years. I’ve put in my time. I spent 20 years with this fantastic band singing a catalog of songs that a singer couldn’t dream of. And thank you.”
The band then began their encore, with Kelly telling the crowd, “Now we have one last job to do. You guys need to be members of the band,” before launching into their #1 hit “I Want To Know What Love Is.”
Hansen joined Foreigner in 2005, following Lou Gramm’s departure in 2003. Foreigner guitarist Luis Maldonado will be taking over frontman duties when they launch a Canadian tour Oct. 21 in St. John’s, Newfoundland. A complete list of Foreigner dates can be found at Foreigneronline.com.

The Eagles have announced a new set of dates for their residency at the Sphere in Las Vegas. The Rock & Roll Hall of Famers have added four new shows to their schedule: Feb. 20, 21, 27 and 28.
With the new dates, the Eagles’ residency totals 52 concerts, which now makes them the artists with the longest residency at the Sphere; it launched Sept. 20, 2024. Dead & Company previously held that honor, with 48 shows.
The Sphere opened in 2023 with U2’s U2:UV Achtung Baby Live at Sphere, which consisted of 40 dates.
Registration is now open for an artist presale that begins Oct. 22 at 10 a.m. PT. Tickets go on sale to the general public Oct. 24 at 10 a.m. PT.
The Eagles’ next residency show is scheduled for Oct. 31. A complete list of dates can be found at eagles.com.

Now that September’s ended and Billie Joe Armstrong is wide awake, the Green Day frontman made a surprise appearance at Dua Lipa‘s concert in San Francisco on Sunday.
During her ongoing tour, the pop star has been inviting up or covering artists related to the city she’s playing. In introducing Armstrong, who famously is from the Bay Area, Lipa told the crowd, “Immediately when I thought about San Francisco, and I thought about all the incredible music that has come out of here, I thought about one band in particular that would be perfect.”
“I love this band for so many different reasons,” Lipa continued. “I love it because of the rawness, the authenticity, the message behind it, the space that it holds for people who feel sometimes they might not belong. I loved listening to this album in particular when I was little, I would put the CD in the Walkman and just kind of sing my heart out.”
Armstrong then took the stage and joined Lipa for a rendition of the American Idiot single “Wake Me Up When September Ends.”
Green Day, meanwhile, recently wrapped their world tour supporting the band’s latest album, 2024’s Saviors. Their next release is a 25th anniversary reissue of their 2000 album, Warning, due out Nov. 14.

Carlos Santana wants everyone to know he has no problem with Bad Bunny being the Super Bowl halftime show headliner.
The Rock & Roll Hall of Famer has issued a statement after false reports circulated on the internet that claimed he criticized the NFL for choosing Bad Bunny as the 2026 headliner.
“I congratulate and celebrate Bad Bunny’s success and his position right now with the world and with the Super Bowl,” read the statement. “I feel total oneness with what he’s doing because we are here to utilize art to complement and bring the world closer to harmony and oneness.”
“However, we’re living in a time of fear, division, separation, superiority and inferiority. Fear is the flavor right now,” he continued. “Fear is what motivates ignorant people to put words in my mouth – saying that I didn’t want Bad Bunny to be represented at the Super Bowl. I never said that, nor would I ever.”
“Just to be clear, my heart is in total harmony with Bad Bunny, and I celebrate his success, his triumph and his phenomenal achievement. Anything other than that is coming from people’s ignorance,” he added.
Santana noted that those who believe the “fabricated comments” out there about Bad Bunny “are not in harmony with themselves.”
“The people who make up such things – I invite them to do something more creative with their energy,” he said. “If you’re going to create a dialogue, create a dialogue for America of unity, harmony and oneness. Lord knows we need it right now.”
“In conclusion, let me say this: Santana is all about bringing unity, harmony, oneness, hope, courage, enthusiasm, light, spirit and soul,” the statement concluded. “Peace in your heart, peace in your mind, peace in your family. We are one – peace on Earth!”
The first ever Bridge School Benefit concert was held at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, California.
Organized by Neil Young and his wife Pegi Young, the concert raised money for the Bridge School, which assists children with severe physical impairments and communication needs. Pegi was one of the co-founders of the school and was inspired to start it when she couldn’t find a school for her non-verbal son.
The night’s performers included Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, Bruce Springsteen, Tom Petty, Don Henley and E Street Band guitarist Nils Lofgren, with the artists performing primarily acoustic sets.
With the exception of 1987, a Bridge School benefit was held every year until 2016, with artists like Billy Idol, Bob Dylan, Pearl Jam, Elton John, R.E.M., The Who, Foo Fighters, Beck and Metallica performing over the years.
The final Bridge School concerts happened Oct. 22 and 23, 2016. In January 2017, following Neil and Pegi’s divorce, they announced the end of the Bridge School concerts.

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame announced the performers and presenters for this year’s induction ceremony on Wednesday, although they didn’t specify who those people would be honoring on induction night. Well, now Bad Company, one of this year’s inductees, is asking fans to guess who’ll be handling the duties for them.
The band shared a video on Instagram featuring frontman Paul Rodgers, who teased, “Yes it’s great that Bad Company are to be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and it’s also great that we will be inducted by … I can’t tell you, but you can guess.”
He then seemed to offer up a clue, turning around to show off the jacket he was wearing, which featured the logo for the legendary Sun Studios in Memphis, Tennessee.
The caption of the post asks fans to share their guesses for a chance to win a Bad Company T-shirt. They have until Nov. 3 to enter, with winners selected at random.
The initial lineup of performers and presenters for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame ceremony include Elton John, Beck, Iggy Pop, Red Hot Chili Peppers’ bassist Flea, The Pretty Reckless’ Taylor Momsen and Twenty One Pilots, along with Brandi Carlile, David Letterman, and more.
Bad Company’s fellow inductees include Joe Cocker, Soundgarden, The White Stripes, Salt-N-Pepa, Chubby Checker and Outkast. In addition, Warren Zevon is being inducted in the Musical Influence category, while producer Thom Bell, guitarist Nicky Hopkins and bassist Carole Kaye will be inducted for Musical Excellence.
The 2025 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony is happening Nov. 8 in Los Angeles, and will stream live on Disney+ starting at 8 p.m. ET.

The Black Crowes have released a new track from the upcoming super-deluxe edition of their third studio album, 1994’s Amorica.
The latest is the track “Exit,” which is part of the set’s The Marie Laveau Sessions. Itfeatures seven songs Chris Robinson and Rich Robinson worked on during a soundcheck on their High As The Moon tour and then recorded in New Orleans on a day off from the trek.
“Chris and I wrote this song on the first half of the Southern Harmony tour,” Rich explains. “It was the first song we wrote leading up to Amorica. It’s such a powerful song and a snapshot into the band which was firing on all cylinders.”
In addition to The Marie Laveau Sessions, the Amorica set features new mixes of the original album, plus a whole lot of bonus material.
Extras include Tallest, nine newly mixed songs recorded during the sessions for Tall, an unreleased album the band worked on before Amorica but was scrapped by the brothers. The set also includes four recordings from a live broadcast from AIR Studios in London.
The Amorica super-deluxe box set will be released Nov. 14 as a five-LP or three-CD set. There will also be two-LP and one-CD editions.
