Sammy Hagar recently wrapped the U.S. leg of his The Best of All Worlds tour, and he’s already thinking about doing it again.

The former Van Halen frontman shared a post-tour video message to fans to let them know how much he enjoyed the trek, which had him playing not only his solo material, but plenty of Van Halen classics.

“I can’t express enough how impressed I was with the turnout and the vibe that everyone was laying down, singing the songs at the top of your lungs, every song,” he said. “We thought we were playing deep tracks, and it turns out that you know those, too. It was just one of the greatest experiences.”

Hagar said he probably could have done more shows but he was concerned about overdoing it. Now that it’s over, he says, “I can tell you right now, my voice held up fine. I was happy every night. And my body held up fine. I feel better than ever right now.”

As for what’s in store for Hagar next, he’s headed to Japan for three Best of All Worlds shows starting Sept. 20, and he has birthday bashes in Las Vegas and Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, in October.

As for the future, he seems optimistic about revisiting the tour.

“I can tell you right now, I definitely wanna do it again and knowing how much I can do, it’s gonna be less of a mystery and just as much of a party,” he said. “It was really, really special. I haven’t felt that good about a show I’ve done for the fans in a long time.”

And the MTV VMA rock winners are …
VMA

The MTV Video Music Awards went down in New York Wednesday night, with Lenny Kravitz and Benson Boone this year’s rock winners.

Kravitz nabbed the Best Rock award for “Human” from his latest album, Blue Electric Light, beating out U2, Bon Jovi, Coldplay, Green Day and Kings of Leon.

“I am so grateful,” he said on the red carpet, where he received his award. He dedicated the honor to his late mother, actress Roxie Roker, noting, “Thirty-one years ago my mother was with me. The last time she was with me at an award show was at the VMAs.”

Kravitz also performed on the telecast, treating the VMA audience to a three-song medley: the classic “Are You Gonna Go My Way,” “Human” and “Fly,” his collaboration with Quavo. The track is a reimagining of Kravitz’s 1998 hit “Fly Away.”

Meanwhile, Boone was the winner of the Best Alternative award for “Beautiful Things.” Boone, who performed the winning song on the show, beat out Bleachers, Hozier, Imagine Dragons, Linkin Park and Teddy Swims for the trophy.

Jon Bon Jovi helped talk a distraught woman off the ledge of a Nashville bridge, police said.

The incident occurred Tuesday night on the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge and was captured on surveillance footage. The rock ‘n’ roll legend was filming a music video at the time, with the bridge open to the public.

The footage, released by the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department on Wednesday, shows a woman perched on the ledge of the bridge, which spans the Cumberland River.

Bon Jovi and another person can be seen in the footage approaching and talking to the woman, who turns to face them.

“Bon Jovi helped persuade her to come off the ledge over the Cumberland River to safety,” Nashville police said on X.

After about a minute, Bon Jovi and the other person can be seen helping the woman climb back over the railing. Bon Jovi and the woman embrace before walking down the span of the bridge with several others.

The woman was taken for mental health care services, a police spokesperson confirmed to ABC News.

The Nashville police commended Bon Jovi and his team for helping the woman.

“It takes all of us to help keep each other safe,” Nashville Police Chief John Drake said in a statement.

The musician has had extensive training in speaking to those in crisis through his foundation, the JBJ Soul Foundation, which helps those struggling with issues such as homelessness and hunger.

ABC News has reached out to a rep for Bon Jovi for comment.

Billy Joel’s MSG residency now second only to Celine Dion’s in box office grosses

Billy Joel’s MSG residency now second only to Celine Dion’s in box office grosses
CBS

Billy Joel wrapped up his 10-year residency at New York’s Madison Square Garden on July 25, and now the numbers are in.

According to Billboard, the residency, which featured Billy playing one show per month at the legendary venue, earned just under $267 million and sold 1.9 million tickets over 104 shows since it launched in 2014. Every one of those shows sold out, for an average of 18,600 tickets per show.

Over 10 years, ticket prices increased from about $2 million in earnings from those first shows to the final show, which took in $5 million.

Billboard notes that Billy’s residency is now the third-highest-grossing concert residency in the history of the publication’s Boxscore concert tallies, which began in the mid-’80s. The only two that have earned more have been Celine Dion‘s A New Day, which earned just over $385 million from 2003 to 2007 at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace, and her second residency show, Celine, which earned just over $296 million from 2011 to 2019.

U2‘s 40-show run at Sphere in Las Vegas was previously in third place with $244.5 million, until these new numbers knocked them down to fourth place.

The CBS special Billy Joel: The 100th — Live at Madison Square Garden, which documented the 100th show of the residency, won three trophies at the Creative Arts Emmys, held in LA Sept. 7 and 8.

“Childless Dog Lady” Stevie Nicks shares new election-themed message inspired by Taylor Swift

Stevie Nicks appears to have been inspired by Taylor Swift’s recent social media post endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris for president.

The Fleetwood Mac singer has shared her own thoughts on the upcoming election, posting a photo that mirrored Taylor’s photo with her cat, except Stevie is posing with her dog.

“As my friend @taylorswift so eloquently stated, now is the time to research and choose the candidate that speaks to you and your beliefs,” Stevie shared.

While Stevie didn’t outright endorse any candidate in her post, she urged her followers to make their voices heard.

“Only 54 days left until the election,” she wrote. “Make sure you are registered to vote! Your vote in this election may be one of the most important things you ever do.”

And like Taylor, who signed her post “Childless Cat Lady,” Stevie signed hers “Childless Dog Lady.” Both are references to past comments made by Republican vice presidential candidate J.D. Vance.

Stevie and Taylor have been supporters of each other for years. Back in July, during her show in Dublin that Stevie attended, Taylor called the two-time Rock & Roll Hall of Famer “a hero of mine,” then performed her song “Clara Bow” off The Tortured Poets Department, which name-checks Stevie in the lyrics.

Stevie showed her appreciation for the song by writing a poem, “For T – and me …,” that’s included in The Tortured Poets Department.

Guess which gross thing Ozzy Osbourne does in new ‘Nöthin’ But a Good Time’ clip

Guess which gross thing Ozzy Osbourne does in new ‘Nöthin’ But a Good Time’ clip
Paramount+

The upcoming docuseries Nöthin’ But a Good Time promises to be the Uncensored Story of ’80s Metal, but you may be hoping for some restrictions in a new clip from the show involving Ozzy Osbourne.

In the clip, which premiered via Entertainment Weekly, Stephen Pearcy of Ratt tells a charming tale about a particularly gross activity the Prince of Darkness would partake in while staying at hotels.

“In nice hotels, you put your shoes out, have these shined,” Pearcy says. “So [Ozzy] goes hobbling down the hall, and he literally pulls his pants down and he just takes a big s*** in these shoes.”

The clip also includes an animated reenactment of the alleged incident, in case you couldn’t, or didn’t want to, use your imagination.

In what is probably the understatement of the year, Pearcy adds, “Anyway, dude was f****** nuts.”

Nöthin’ But a Good Time premieres Sept. 17 on Paramount+. It also features Poison‘s Bret Michaels, Extreme‘s Nuno Bettencourt and Skid Row‘s Dave “Snake” Sabo, as well as Slipknot‘s Corey Taylor and comedian Steve-O.
