Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler has teamed with Los Angeles high-end supermarket chain Erewhon to introduce two new soft serve sundaes named after Aerosmith tunes, with proceeds going to charity.

The Dream On sundae features an organic coconut soft serve base, with organic banana and cinnamon, raw granola and superfood almond drizzle, which is made with maple, almond butter, coconut cream, Lion’s Mane and cordyceps mushrooms and more.

There’s also the Sweet Emotion, which also starts out with an organic coconut soft serve base and adds organic blueberries, raw blueberry compote, raw granola and the superfood almond drizzle.

According to the announcement, the collaboration was “inspired by Steven’s love for Erewhon and his commitment to making a difference.”

Both sundaes sell for $13. Proceeds from the sales are going to Tyler’s Janie’s Fund, which helps girls who’ve been abused or neglected, as well as the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation in the wake of the devastation caused by the California wildfires.

Tyler is set to host the sixth annual Jam for Janie Grammy Awards Viewing Party on Sunday, featuring a reunion of the members of Aerosmith, along with an all-star jam with Aerosmith’s Joe Perry and Tom Hamilton, Billy Idol, Joan Jett, Linda Perry, former Guns N’ Roses drummer Matt Sorum and Extreme guitarist Nuno Bettencourt.

Artists including Dave Grohl, Ozzy Osbourne and Tool‘s Maynard James Keenan have contributed signed guitars to the MusiCares Charity Relief Auction.

The Foo Fighters frontman autographed a 2016 Gibson Les Paul Standard, which is expected to fetch between $1,000 and $2,000.

Meanwhile, Ozzy and Keenan signed a 2024 Gibson Les Paul Standard along with all the other participants in the Prince of Darkness’ Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction, including Chad Smith of Red Hot Chili Peppers, Metallica‘s Robert Trujillo, Wolfgang Van Halen, Black Label Society‘s Zakk Wylde, Billy Idol, Jack Black and producer Andrew Watt. That’s also expected to sell for between $1,000 and $2,000.

Others donating items to the auction include Billy Joel, Billie Eilish, Paul McCartney, Metallica‘s James Hetfield and The Rolling Stones.

The auction takes place Sunday in-person in Santa Monica, California, and online via JuliensAuctions.com. It will raise money for MusiCares, which “provides the music community a support system of health and human services across a spectrum of needs including physical and mental health, addiction recovery, unforeseen personal emergencies, and disaster relief.”

In other fundraising news, Pearl Jam is raffling off a signed guitar and poster to support Los Angeles fire relief efforts. You can enter that now through April 11 via the site Fandiem.com.

Timothée Chalamet’s gig as host and musical guest on the Jan. 25 edition of Saturday Night Live has brought renewed interest to the Bob Dylan deep cuts he performed on the show.

According to Billboard, the songs the A Complete Unknown star performed — “Outlaw Blues,” “Three Angels” and “Tomorrow Is A Long Time” — all got a streaming boost from the show, with all three going from a total of about 9,000 streams before the show to 128,000 streams after.

“Tomorrow Is A Long Time,” which appeared on the 1971 compilation album Bob Dylan’s Greatest Hits Vol. II, saw the biggest boost, with a 1,100% increase, going from 4,000 streams the weekend prior to the performance to 52,000 streams in the days after.

“Outlaw Blues,” from 1965’s Bringing It All Back Home, earned 45,000 streams following the performance, while “Three Angels” had 30,000.

This was Chalamet’s third time hosting Saturday Night Live, but his first time as musical guest. During his monologue he explained why he chose the songs he performed, sharing, “You might not know the Bob Dylan songs I’m performing, but they’re my personal favorites.” He added, “I’m so grateful Saturday Night Live is still doing weird stuff like this.”

Beatles fans can now show off their fandom with their footwear.

The band has teamed with Crocs for a new clog collection inspired by The Beatles’ 1968 animated movie Yellow Submarine.

The Beatles x Crocs line comes in two options – Classic Clog, featuring the psychedelic colors of the film, and the Yellow Submarine Clog, in bright yellow, with red and white accents.

There are also two options for Yellow Submarine-themed Jibbitz to add some bling to the clogs.

All are available to order now at The Beatles store. The Croc options sell for $69.99, while the Jibbitz sell for $19.99.

Former Yes lead singer Jon Anderson and his backing band The Band Geeks are releasing a new live CD/DVD in March and they’ve just given fans a preview of what to expect.

Anderson released a performance video of the Yes classic “Your Move – I’ve Seen All Good People,” which appears on Jon Anderson and The Band Geeks Live – Perpetual Change, a recording of their concert at the Arcada Theatre in St. Charles, Illinois, which took place during their 2023 summer tour.

This is the second performance video they’ve shared from the release. They previously posted a video for the Yes classic “And You And I.”

Jon Anderson and The Band Geeks Live – Perpetual Change will be released March 14 as a two-CD/DVD package and as a three-LP set. They are both available for preorder now.

Anderson and The Band Geeks are getting ready to hit the road on a new U.S. tour this spring. The 18-show trek kicks off April 1 in Tucson, Arizona, and wraps May 18 in Carteret, New Jersey.

Babygirl star Harris Dickinson is once again talking about the possibility of playing John Lennon in Sam Mendes’ upcoming biopics on The Beatles, although it sounds like he really doesn’t want to.

In a new interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Dickinson reportedly groaned when he thought the interviewer was about to ask about the Lennon role and said, “Don’t ask me about that,” although the journalist writes that he was actually going to ask Dickinson if he was going to be on the YouTube series Hot Ones.

But during a follow-up interview, Dickinson did eventually offer up a few words on the possibility of playing Lennon, although he still didn’t confirm or deny he has the role.

“Okay, my comment is that I think it would be a brilliant opportunity to play John Lennon, and to work with Sam and everyone else mentioned,” he said. “Yeah, I don’t know. It would be splendid.”

Dickinson previously commented about playing Lennon back in December, telling Variety, “It would be amazing to do that. I think the idea of Sam teaming up to do something like that would be incredibly exciting. Obviously, John Lennon is a very complex role, a pretty formidable force to try to do. It would be cool.”

Mendes’ Beatles project was announced back in February, with the director revealing he planned to make four separate films, one for each member of the group — Lennon, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr and George Harrison.

Previous reports have claimed that Paul Mescal will be playing McCartney, Barry Keoghan has been cast as Ringo and Joseph Quinn will be playing Harrison, although so far there’s been no official word on casting.

The star-studded FireAid concerts, taking place Jan. 30 at the Intuit Dome and Kia Forum in Inglewood, California, will feature 27 artists, including Stevie Nicks, Rod Stewart, Joni Mitchell, Stephen Stills and Graham Nash. But there were so many others who wanted in that you can expect some unannounced performances.

Famed music manager Irving Azoff, who’s one of the producers of the event, tells Billboard the show is already running 5 1/2 hours. “After it was already on sale and [artists] are all set, then other [artists] called,” he explains.

“[We said], ‘It’s too late to add you to the bill and we don’t have a slot, but how would you like to go do XYZ with such and such an artist?'” he adds. “I think there’s a good half dozen really surprise moments.”

Azoff tells The Wall Street Journal the concert was announced 48 hours after he came up with the idea. His first call was to the Eagles, who weren’t available, but who kicked in a $2.5 million donation. The first artist who officially confirmed was Stewart, who said he’d charter a plane for himself and his band.

Nicks was next to confirm and plans to perform a song “with relevant lyrics that she’d never recorded or released before,” according to the Wall Street Journal.

But Azoff told the Journal he turned one superstar down because he wanted artists who had an LA connection. “My friend and client Jon Bon Jovi said, ‘I’m on the next plane.’ And I said, ‘Jon, stay in New Jersey. There’ll be a tragedy there, and we’ll come there,’” he joked.

John Fogerty and Smokey Robinson will be honored at the Bruce Springsteen Archives and Center for American Music’s third annual American Music Honors.

This year’s other honorees include Rage Against the Machine guitarist Tom Morello, Emmylou Harris and Joe Ely, with Springsteen and E Street Band members Steven Van Zandt, Patti Scialfa and Nils Lofgren confirmed as presenters.

The awards are handed out each year to artists “who have demonstrated artistic excellence, creative integrity, and a longstanding commitment to the value of music in our national consciousness.”

The third annual American Music Honors will take place April 26 at the Pollak Theatre at Monmouth University in West Long Branch, New Jersey, the home of the Bruce Springsteen Archives.

Van Zandt’s band Disciples of Soul will act as house band for the night, with Brian Williams hosting the evening.

The American Music Honors launched in 2023, with Van Zandt, Darlene Love, Sam & Dave‘s Sam Moore and Steve Earle honored. Last year’s honorees included John Mellencamp, Jackson Browne, Dion DiMucci and Mavis Staples.

The event is open to the public, with tickets going on sale March 25.

From 1975 to 1987, Fleetwood Mac was one of the biggest bands in the world, and now the albums the group released during that time period have been collected in a new box set.

Coming March 28, Fleetwood Mac 1975-1987 will be available as six LPs on crystal-clear vinyl or five CDs. The box set includes the band’s self-titled 1975 release, 1977’s world-beating Rumours, 1979’s Tusk, 1982’s Mirage and 1987’s Tango In the Night. 1975’s Fleetwood Mac album introduced new members Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham, and gave us the hits “Rihannon,” “Say You Love Me” and “Landslide.” Rumours, of course, is one of the bestselling albums of all time, with classics like “Don’t Stop,” “Go Your Own Way” and “Dreams.” Its follow-up, the more experimental double album Tusk, included the hits “Sara” and the title track.

1982’s Mirage features “Gypsy” and “Hold Me,” while 1987’s Tango In the Night became the second-biggest Fleetwood Mac album ever, after Rumours, thanks to “Everywhere,” “Big Love” and “Little Lies.”

After Tango In the Night, there were multiple lineup changes, but Fleetwood Mac continued to release albums on and off through 2003’s Say You Will, their final studio LP.

Neil Young was honored by the Recording Academy as the MusiCares Person of the Year, at the organization’s 20th anniversary gala.

Young was celebrated at the gala for his philanthropic work, with a star-studded lineup performing Young tunes. Artists who performed that evening included Crosby, Stills & Nash, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Elvis Costello, Dave Matthews, Elton John, Sheryl Crow, Leon Russell, Ben Harper and John Fogerty.

Proceeds from the gala benefited MusiCares, the Recording Academy’s charity arm, which provides critical health and welfare services to the music community.

The 2025 MusiCares Person of the Year is the Grateful Dead and they’ll be celebrated at a gala happening Jan. 31 in Los Angeles.
