The Rock & Roll Hall of Famer has announced a five-night limited engagement at The Venetian Theatre inside The Venetian Resort Las Vegas, Oct. 31, Nov. 1, Nov. 5, Nov. 7 and Nov. 8.
A Citi presale kicks off Tuesday at 10 a.m. PT, with tickets going on sale to the general public Friday at 10 a.m. PT.
Browne has several tour dates booked for 2025, with his next performance May 4 at the BeachLife Festival in Redondo Beach, California. He’ll also play a four-night residency at New York’s Beacon Theatre starting Aug. 12. A complete list of dates can be found at JacksonBrowne.com.
Bon Jovi, The Cars, Dire Straits and The Moody Blues were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in a ceremony held in Cleveland.
The Bon Jovi induction included a reunion of the band with former guitarist Richie Sambora for a performance of four songs, including “Livin’ On A Prayer” and “You Give Love A Bad Name.”
The Cars were inducted by The Killers’ Brandon Flowers and performed such hits as “Just What I Needed,” “You Might Think” and “My Best Friend’s Girl.” The Moody Blues were inducted by Heart’s Ann Wilson and performed “Nights In White Satin,” “Your Wildest Dreams” and more.
Dire Straits frontman Mark Knopfler did not attend the ceremony and no star handled their induction speech, making them the first act ever inducted without anyone introducing them. They also did not perform during the ceremony.
Neil Young and Joan Baez were among the artists who performed Sunday at Senator Bernie Sanders’ Fighting Oligarchy: Where Do We Go From Here rally at Los Angeles’ Gloria Molina Grand Park.
According to setlist.fm, Young performed the track “Rainbow of Colors,” off his album Colorado, which was the first time he’d played the song since 2019. Then he broke out his classic “Rockin’ in the Free World,” and was joined by Baez and Maggie Rogers, who was also one of the performers at the rally.
Baez treated the crowd to a five-song set that included “Ain’t Gonna Let Nobody Turn Me Around,” “There But for Fortune,” and John Lennon’s “Imagine,” as well as “America the Beautiful” and Bob Dylan’s “Don’t Think Twice, It’s All Right,” for which she was joined by Rogers.
And Young, Baez and Rogers weren’t the only musicians Sanders got to rub elbows with this past weekend. He turned up at the Coachella Festival in Indio, California, making an appearance during Clairo‘s set, with Florida congressman Maxwell Frost, who is the youngest member of Congress.
The music of the Allman Brothers Band is being celebrated with two all-star concerts in New York, and now folks who can’t make it to the Big Apple will get to enjoy the shows as well.
The concerts at Madison Square Garden on Tuesday and Wednesday will be headlined by the super group The Brothers,featuring ABB founding member Jaimoe, along with band members Warren Haynes, Derek Trucks, Oteil Burbridge, Marc Quiñones and Chuck Leavell. Joining them will be Joe Russo and Isaac Eady on drums and Reese Wynans on keyboards.
Both shows will be available to stream live via nugs.net and will be available on demand until April 23.
The Brothers even gave fans a little preview of what to expect, sharing footage of them rehearsing the ABB track “You Don’t Love Me” on Instagram.
The concerts mark the second Brothers tribute to Allman Brothers Band. The first took place March 10, 2020, at Madison Square Garden and lasted over four hours. The show was one of the last concerts at MSG before the concert industry was temporarily shut down due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Brian May made a surprise appearance at Coachella Friday, turning up during Benson Boone’s set to help him perform a cover of the Queen classic “Bohemian Rhapsody.”
Footage from the festival shows May rising up from below the stage to perform the song’s first guitar solo from the top of a raised platform. May is then lowered back below the stage, but returns to join Boone’s side following the “mamma mia” portion of the song.
The appearance wasn’t actually a total surprise. May had teased it earlier in the day, sharing a picture of him and Boone on a jet together, writing, “Look who I bumped into – on the way to the fabled Palm Springs,” adding, “Maybe something will happen?!”
He posted another picture of the two cheesing for the camera and wrote, “Do we look happy ? !!! Gonna treasure this moment on the plane with @bensonboone- a truly golden 22 year old prodigy. I’m proud and happy to say we are now officially pals.”
May’s appearance comes seven months after he revealed he suffered a minor stroke that initially left him with no control over his left arm.
Boone will return to Coachella to play the festival’s second weekend on April 18. There’s no word on whether May will show up again.
A new documentary about John Lennon will make its debut at the Cine International Film Festival in London in May.
Borrowed Time: Lennon’s Last Decade, from director Alan G. Parker, will be shown on May 9 at the Karma Soho Sanctum Hotel. The screening will feature a talk with Parker.
The film is a British documentary that explores Lennon’s post-Beatles career using archival footage and never-before-seen interviews with musicians, journalists and close friends. There are also archival interviews from Lennon, Yoko Ono and Paul McCartney.
The news comes as another Lennon documentary, One to One: John & Yoko, opens exclusively in IMAX theaters on Friday. It follows the 18 months John and Yoko lived in New York’s Greenwich Village in the early ’70s and features archival footage of the pair’s 1972 One to One concert, Lennon’s only full-length performances after The Beatles’ 1970 breakup.
A new track has been released off Burning Moonlight, the upcoming posthumous EP from Marianne Faithfull, who passed away in January at the age of 78.
The latest is “She Moved Thru’ The Fair,” a new take on a song Faithfull first recorded in 1966. This is the second song released from the EP following the title track.
The four-song Burning Moonlight will be released as a limited-edition vinyl for Record Store Day on Saturday, with a digital EP to follow on June 6. It was recorded to celebrate Marianne’s 60 years in music. A press release notes the songs mix “her pop roots with her folk influences.”
Elton John and Brandi Carlile hit the promo trail hard for their new album, Who Believes In Angels?, and it’s paid off … with Elton’s second U.K. #1 album in six months.
Back in January, Elton’s best-of album Diamonds hit #1 after being on the charts for 374 weeks. Now, Who Believes In Angels? has also topped the chart. That makes Elton one of only five artists in the past 35 years who’ve had two number ones within a six-month period. The others? David Bowie, Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift and Ariana Grande.

A newly restored version of Pink Floyd’s 1972 concert film, Pink Floyd at Pompeii – MCMLXXII, is set to hit theaters and IMAX on April 24, and the band is now giving fans a taste of what to expect.
The Rock & Roll Hall of Famers just released a music video of the Meddle track “One of These Days,” featuring footage from the concert film.
The movie is a recording of Pink Floyd’s October 1971 performance at the ancient Roman amphitheater in Italy, which was the first live concert ever to take place at the site. The performance happened just before they released Meddle, their sixth studio album.

In addition to the theatrical release, Pink Floyd will release the live album Pink Floyd at Pompeii – MCMLXXII on May 2, marking the first full-length live record of the concert. It will be released on CD, LP, Blu-Ray, DVD, digital audio and Dolby Atmos.

Pretenders frontwoman Chrissie Hynde is giving fans an update on their plans for 2025.
The rocker shared a note on social media, writing, “The sun is shining where we are and I hope wherever you are. Best time of the year. Flowers in bloom. We will be going back on the road soon. A short tour this time, mainly around South America. We are soooo looking forward to it. We love South America!”
And while they won’t be touring the U.S. this year, Pretenders are giving all of their fans a way to enjoy their live show at home: the upcoming release of the live album Pretenders Live – Kick ‘Em Where It Hurts, with Chrissie telling her followers it will give them “a chance to experience some of the magic.”
Pretenders Live – Kick ‘Em Where It Hurts, dropping June 13, was recorded during the band’s 2024 theater tour. It features performances of songs like “Talk of the Town,” “Boots of Chinese Plastic,” “Back on the Chain Gang,” “Middle of the Road” and more.
