Bludgeon Riffola/UMCDef Leppard frontman Joe Elliott‘s side group Down ‘n’ Outz will release its third studio album, This Is How We Roll, on October 11.

While the band’s first two studio efforts mainly featured covers of songs by Mott the Hoople and Ian Hunter, the new record boasts 11 Elliott-penned original tunes plus a rendition of The Tubes‘ edgy 1975 track “White Punks on Dope.”

Elliott formed Down ‘n’ Outz in 2009 to serve as the opening act at one of a series of Mott the Hoople reunion concerts in London.  The band also features three members of the veteran U.K. hard-rock act The Quireboys, along with drummer Phil Martin and ex-Vixen bassist Share Ross.

The group has released This Is How We Roll‘s title track digitally in advance of the album’s arrival.

“Boy, has this has been a long time coming?!” Elliott says of the album, which is a follow-up to 2014’s The Further Adventures Of.

“Recorded in infrequent bursts of activity over a 5-year period whenever our respective motherships allowed, I’m extremely proud of what we’ve achieved with this album,” he adds. “I’m blessed to have worked with such a superb bunch of musicians on this collection of songs.”

Meanwhile, The Quireboys’ Guy Griffin says This Is How We Roll “is absolutely fantastic, probably one of the best records I’ve worked on.”

He adds that album’s tracks are influenced by “all the stuff Joe grew up with…a lot of piano type stuff, a bit Elton John, one track a bit 10cc, a couple of good rockers…a real mix of stuff.”

This Is How We Roll will be available on CD, digitally, on LP and as a limited-edition vinyl picture disc.

Here’s the album’s track list:

“Another Man’s War”
“This Is How We Roll”
“Goodnight Mr. Jones”
“Last Man Standing”
“Music Box”
“Boys Don’t Cry”
“Walking to Babylon”
“Let It Shine”
“Music Box Reprise/Griff’s Lament”
“White Punks on Dope”
