Courtesy of RoxodusThe star-packed Roxodus Music Fest, a four-day concert extravaganza that was scheduled to run from July 11 to July 14 in Stayner, Ontario, Canada, has been canceled, reportedly because of issues caused by bad weather.

In a message on the event’s official website, organizers announced the cancelation “with a heavy heart,” explaining, “During the past couple of months, our venue…has battled tremendous rainy weather that has impacted our ability to produce the festival…Our team has worked tirelessly to find a solution in which the show can go on but unfortunately, we could not make it happen this year.”

The artists that were to have headlined Roxodus include Aerosmith, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Kid Rock. Among the many other acts on the bill were Cheap Trick, Alice Cooper, Peter Frampton, Billy Idol, Blondie and Saga.

The organizers also note in the cancellation message, “Our dream of producing a ‘once in a lifetime experience’ has been put on hold as we take the much-needed time to nurture our venue into a premier landmark in Ontario…we hope to one day see our dream come to life.”

Information regarding ticket refunds will be announced soon.

Meanwhile, officials for the local community of Clearview Township have issued a statement calling the cancellation of Roxodus “unfortunate news,” while noting that the cancellation “was a business decision made independently by MF Live Inc.,” the event’s promoter.
