Courtesy of Live NationThe 2018 Juke Box Heroes Tour, featuring Foreigner, Whitesnake and Jason Bonham’s Led Zeppelin Evening, gets underway tonight in Bangor, Maine.

Whitesnake’s David Coverdale tells ABC Radio that with the energy and the many classic songs that all three bands will deliver, fans likely will be totally drained at the end of each show.

“[Jason Bonham’s Led Zeppelin Evening are] gonna be playing great,” Coverdale declares. “[Followed by] Whitesnake’s greatest hits, then Foreigner’s greatest hits. I hope everybody will be as exhausted as we are when they leave.”

Foreigner guitarist/songwriter Mick Jones, meanwhile, says his band’s current lineup is at the top of its game.

“Our lead singer, Kelly Hansen, has developed into an incredible showman, apart from…[being] a fantastic singer,” Jones tells ABC Radio. “And the energy in the band…I can’t remember when we had it that strong.”

Meanwhile, Jones reveals that, like on Foreigner’s 40th anniversary tour in 2017, some of the band’s former members will make appearances at select shows this year, including founding frontman Lou Gramm. Mick recently revealed that Gramm will perform at about three concerts, including one taking place this Tuesday, June 19, in Syracuse, New York.

Coverdale says he’s excited that Gramm will be on hand for a few shows, “’cause I haven’t seen him for a lifetime.” He adds, “Beautiful singer, beautiful guy.”

The concerts will begin with a set by Bonham’s Led Zeppelin tribute act. Jones notes that Jason, who was Foreigner’s drummer from 2004 to 2008, is “very, very proud and attached to the memory of his father [late Zeppelin drummer John Bonham], and he talks about that during the show…[H]e’s really becoming a rounded entertainer. And just a sweet guy, and we love him.”
